Description:
It is 1956 again on the Colorado Southwestern. Steam and diesel power are working together for one more season west of the Continental Divide. Traffic from the Denver and Rio Grande Western Royal Gorge Route adds heavy traffic to the already busy CSW main line. Layout occupies every (and e mean every room of the upstairs of the Willis household. The layout has now been under construction for two years. Substantial progress has been made. Several engineering hurdles were conquered to eliminate duckunders and provide more than six scale miles of main line. Designed for operation, this around the walls layout features a 340 foot main line, al large yard and engine facility, seven online towns, and several large staging yards. Special features include super elevated track, a nine track staging elevator, a multi track seven level helix, custom painted rolling stock, and a hand painted backdrop. Easy DCC with sound is being installed. Track work is complete. Basic hard shell scenery is in place on most of the railroad along with several large kit bashed bridges. Many structures are in place and scenery detailing is underway. Come to the land of orange and silver F units and see the layout that ate the upstairs.
