As you have probably already heard, Divisions 1 and 3 of the Lone Star Region will be hosting the 2009 Lone Star Region Convention in the Dallas Ft. Worth Metroplex area. It will be called: The “Trinity River Interchange”. Since your host for next year will be a team effort of both Divisions 1 and 3, we thought it only appropriate to use the Promontory icon where East met West as our logo.

I’ll keep this short but wanted to introduce you to what you will be seeing a lot of in the coming year. The plan is to issue a “Trinity River Interchange Gazette” on a monthly basis to keep you informed on the progress of your 2009 convention and all the great things waiting for you when you arrive next June. Which reminds me, the official dates for the convention are June 3rd. thru 7th., 2009, and the host hotel will bethe Sheraton Grand DFW Hotel, located on Highway 114 by the DFW airport.

You might find a few chuckles as you read each monthly issue of the Trinity River Interchange Gazette throughout the year, because that’s what the 2009 Convention will be all about… Havin’ lotsa’ fun, LSR style!
